Homeopathy for Backpain

Pain in the back anywhere below the ribs and above the hips is called as lower back pain. The pain may vary between dull and  sharp and may even cause numbness.

After the common cold, back pain is the most common reason why people take office leave. Usually, a back pain subsides on its own in a matter of weeks but for some, it continues to linger on for long and may needs medical help.

Back pain itself does not represent a serious condition but if associated with other medical conditions and can be a cause of concern.

The major accompanying symptom of back pain is stiffness of the back

This pain may come as a result of the following three regions

Upper back-cervical region- pain may radiate to the arms

 Mid-back-dorsal region-

Lower back– lumbar, sacral and coccyx region- radiate to lower limbs

Back comprises of vertebrae, intervertebral disc, spinal cord, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Vertebraes are bony structures that collectively make up the vertebral column. The vertebral canal runs through its length in the center.Any injury or damage to these columns or structures may lead to back pain.

Though there is no definite age when one may get back pain, this degenerative disease can affect people of all age groups mostly elderly.

Back pain can occur due to a variety of factors
Occupational: Professionals demanding to stand, sit or bend in positions that strain the back area may cause back pain.

Sports: Injuries or activities affecting back

Habit: Maintaining the faulty posture for a sustained period due to habitual behavior

Other reasons may include obesity, stress and depression, bad posture, pregnancy, etc

Though above I have listed some generalized reasons for back pain, it may also come off as a result of unknown factors.

Homeopathy is effective for both acute as well as chronic cases of back pain.

 What causes back pain?

Poor posture is one of the leading cause of back pain.

The lower back bears nearly half of the weight of the body.  The two points of the spine namely, cervical spine and dorsal spine are the weakest points and bear the most weight.

When they are not used at their proper position of function they suffer from stresses and strains that lead to back pain.

Though sudden back pain can develop through a variety of factors, real back pain begins when you have been performing the improper movement for a long period of time.
