HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT FOR DIARRHEA

When thin, loose and watery stools occur 3-4 times a day and continues for a few weeks, one is said to have diarrhea.

Diarrhea is accompanied by abdominal pain (colic) which lessens as the stool gets passed.

It is a non-serious condition lasting for 2-3 days  and may heal even without any treatment. But when it extends on for weeks, medical help becomes necessary.

In young children diarrhea is usually caused due to viral infections.

Acute Diarrhea:
Lasts for 1-2 days and resolves on its own. It is normally caused by bacteria, virus or parasites.

Chronic Diarrhea:
The symptoms may persist for more than a few days and may indicate the presence of an underlying disease or condition.

If timely treatment is not taken, diarrhea may also lead to dehydration. In case of people having a weak immune system, or who are young adults and young children, dehydration can be life threatening.

Symptoms of dehydration

Excessive thirst
Dry skin
Dry mouth
Fatigue
Dark urine
Weakness
Dizziness
Crying without tears (in children)

Homeopathy is effective both for acute as well as chronic cases of diarrhea.
